Design

Iris is was designed with the intention to consolidate conference information to a singular specific piece of software. The software was designed with the user in mind. Distinguishing conference information between the front end and the back end.

Front End

The front end of Iris is primarily operational based. You may find interactive elements such as check-in buttons and desk log entry submission fields. These interactive elements were designed predominantly for users following operational procedure. The GUI [Graphical User Interface] was created to streamline a process that follows fields that exist in the back end.

Back End

The back end of iris was designed with an editing based interface. This interface includes various editable fields for which set parameters may be manipulated. Edits made to these parameters populate to the front end of Iris are also made accessible.

Access

The Iris front end is accessible to both the HCS sales team and operations HCS team. The Iris back end is accessible only to select individuals including; student hospitality coordinators, full time HI staff and the HCS sales team.

Access to Iris is allocated by the sales team and Hospitality Information management. Seek guidance from any of the mentions figures to gain access.
