General Announcements:

  •   Summer Hospitality Clerk position is now live on handshake! If you refer a friend who is interested in the position, make sure to reach out to FTEs with their information.

  • If you have not yet received the focus training, please be sure to reach out to an FTE on your next shift.

---->  Once you have received the focus training, please utilize Mercury for all temporary key cards and hard keys issued & returned. If you have any questions, you can always refer to the guide listed in the focus trainings or ask an FTE!

  • Sharlette met her goal of selling 1000 boxes of girl scout cookies! Thanks everyone for your support.

Theatre District:

  • The lobby doors of Survivance in front of HI are continuing to get stuck when the ADA panel is pressed. If you see them open, just give the outside panel a tap and wait 5-10 seconds for the cycle to go through and the doors should close. Maintenance team and the contractors are aware, and continuing to work on the resolution of this issue.

Pepper Canyon West:

  •   Right side Rya Lobby door is currently OOO. Maintenance team is aware and will be working to resolve in coming days.

  •   Students do have access to the community rooms in Pepper Canyon West without reservation. Try to troubleshoot access by checking their account on Persona Online. We can program a temporary keycard for them if their cards don’t have access already.

If a student is having trouble accessing any of the communal rooms such as the gym, community kitchen, etc., please check persona to ensure the student has access to ‘zPepper Canyon West Community- Common Doors’. If they do not, please make note of student information, so an FTE can send a request to IT for this access to be added on the student’s card profile on Persona Online. Program a temporary keycard for "Pepper Canyon West Community Common Doors". Please do not send the student to ResLife, and make sure to notify an FTE.

Study Snippet

Anahi Reynoso- [ Developmental Psychology ]

"Just like adults, babies have an attractive preference for symmetry. Babies prefer communicating and being around attractive people".

Arianna Rodriguez - [ Neurobiology ]

" Have you ever taken a nap after drinking caffeine. Well now you have an excuse as caffeinated naps are an actual thing because sleeping breaks down adenosine in the brain, while the caffeine can then block adenosine receptors, leading to increased alertness when you wake up."

Zen Garden of Ideas

Set the Right Goals

Set goals that are in line with your life purpose. All your life goals (such as family, wellness, career, personal development, and so on) need to be cohesive and support each other for long-term benefits.  If goals from different categories of your life are conflicting, then you’re likely to be demotivated and could stop working on them.

Goal-setting is an important process.  Set SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound).  If you prefer another method or framework, then go for it. You also need to review the relevance of your goals from time to time and make any changes accordingly.  One vital aspect is to have an action plan for success. Without action, your objectives are just dreams.
